DOWN THE ROAD APIECE

Live 20 Oct 1995 version

Well there's a place where you can get your kicks
It's open every night about twelve to six
If you wanna hear some boogie you can get your fill
Shoot right by through you like an old steam drill
Come on along you can lose your lease
Down the road, down the road, down the road apiece

Now if you wanna hear some boogie like I'm gonna play
It's old, an old piano and a knockout bass
The drummer is a boy they named Charlie McCoy
You ought to see that rubber-legged boy
Mama cooking chicken fried in bacon grease
Down the road, down the road, down the road apiece

Well there's a place where you can get your kicks
It's open every night about twelve to six
If you wanna hear some boogie you can get your fill
Shoot right by through you like an old steam drill
Mama cooking chicken fried in bacon grease
Down the road, down the road, down the road apiece

Down the road
Down the road
Down the road
Down the road
Mama cooking chicken fried in bacon grease
Down the road, down the road, down the road apiece

(Road)
Down the road
(Down the road)
(Down the road)
(Mama cooking chicken fried in bacon grease)
Down the road, down the road, down the road, down it

Down the road
Down the road
Mama cooking chicken fried in bacon grease
(Down the road, down the road, down the road apiece)
Down the road
Down the road
Down the road
Down the road
Mama cooking chicken fried in bacon grease
Down the road
Down the road
Down the road
Down the road
Yeah, your mama cooking chicken fried in bacon grease
Down the road, down the road, down the road apiece
