Eagles Of Death Metal's cover version of BLINDED BY THE LIGHT is based on Manfred Mann's Earth Band's cover version of the song. Manfred Mann's Earth Band's recording of BLINDED BY THE LIGHT featured several changes in the lyrics, the most prominent being in the chorus where Springsteen's "cut loose like a deuce" is replaced with "revved up like a deuce." A deuce is a 1932 Ford hotrod, but this is commonly misheard as "wrapped up like a douche." On their version, Eagles Of Death Metal do sing "wrapped up like a douche," and even end the song with a fart noise. Note that they recorded the song specifically for the comedy film Super Trooper 2.
