A MESSAGE TO COLLECTORS

I have set up a private discussion forum for serious Bruce Springsteen record and CD collectors. The goal of this forum is not to replace the Greasy Lake collectors subforum or the Facebook collectors group, but an alternative to these back-and-forth emails I have been exchanging with some collectors concerning in-depth discussion about certain Springsteen collectibles.

If you are interested, register on the forum and separately send me an email telling me who you are and what is your username so that I can approve your registration. I cannot explain everything here in this short message, so please let me know by email if you have any questions or comments.

Release notes:

A privately printed letterpress chapbook, this is the merging of British author Nick Hornby's 2002 essay on Thunder Road with the lyrics from the iconic song by Bruce Springsteen.

The book has two spines. The essay is bound in on the left spine and a broadside containing the lyrics unfolds from the right. The four-panel wraparound cover is printed in silver on Somerset Black Textured 250 GSM with a handrolled yellow edge along the deckle edge. It is hand sewn with matching yellow thread. A woodcut illustration of storm clouds is printed black on black on the cover and then repeated white on white Mulberry as a flysheet for the essay.

This book is a sumptuous production that was printed by two of the most accomplished letterpress printers in the country; synaesthesia press of Los Angeles and Lead Graffiti in Newak, Delaware.

There are 200 numbered copies in wraps and 26 lettered hardbound copies. All copies are signed by Nick Hornby on his essay. The hardbound copies are signed by Nick Hornby and Bruce Springsteen. The hardbound issue is SOLD OUT.

Printed with permission from the artists. All proceeds, including the design, production and materials costs have been donated to Ambitious about Autism, the national UK charity for children with autism, providing online support for parents and TreeHouse School.
