"The Price You Pay" is the full-band version. Roy plays "Once Upon A Time In The West" as a prelude to "The River". Bruce and Clarence sing together the opening lines of Lloyd Price's "Stagger Lee" as an introduction to "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)". "Detroit Medley" includes a brief snippet of Stevie Wonder's "Uptight (Everything's Alright)". Notes: Much thanks to Dan Tekker for his 1st generation tapes. The circulating version of this show comes from an old ABMS upload done many years ago by Bobsmo. He mentioned in his INFO file that he had to raise the volume in order to make that version better. I also had another set of tapes of this show that I got from Bickle in which there is a big volume drop after the first tape flip till the end of the show. So I assume that was prevalent with existing versions of this show. These tapes had no such problem, they are in excellent condition and only things I did was some slight equalization and a slight speed up of a few tracks. The Ed Sciaky intro was cut on these tapes so I used the more complete copy from the Bickle tapes, otherwise the entire show come from Dan's tapes. A great River show, an almost 3 1/2 hour show, and a Philly show right before Christmas. It doesn't get much better than this! At the very end of these tapes there is some extra material that seems to come from a news broadcast so I left it on, it's not very long and you can chop it off if you just want the show. Enjoy, Ivan
