Thanks to the ever-generous and dedicated kingrue (George), I was recently given a transfer of the master
cassettes of Bruce's 1981 concert in Starkville MS, as taped by Reed. Back in 2013, mjk (Mark) shared his 
cassettes of unknown generation that he had acquired in an '80s trade. A quick comparison shows that his 
tapes are derived from Reed's master: the beginning of Prove It All Night is missing the same portion and 
Ramrod has the same splice as a result of a tape flip. The tape warble on Mark's copy at the start of 
Prove It All Night is absent on the master. And upon inspection of the track times, it appears Mark's copy 
ran a bit too slow. I found the quality of Reed's master to be noticeably better than Mark's copy, so I'm 
sharing this upgrade from the master cassettes. Overall Reed came up with a very pleasant capture. My 
involvement is limited to splitting the raw transfer into tracks and filtering some clapping between songs
(CoolEdit Pro). Not because it was so intrusive, but because it was easily filtered out.
