STREETS OF FIRE

Outtake version

When the night's quiet and you don't care anymore
And your eyes are tired and there's someone at your door
And you realize you gotta let go
And there's four tires calling in the morning and weak lies
But baby I ain't no liar we got
Streets of fire, streets of fire, streets of fire, streets of fire

Now I'm wandering, a loser down the track
And I'm a liar, but babe I can't go back
'Cause in the darkness I hear somebody call my name
And when you realize how they tricked you this time
And it's all lies but I'm strung out on the wire
In these streets of fire, streets of fire, streets of fire

I live now, only with strangers
I talk to, only strangers
Cause we know you, yeah me and you girl we know, what's it all about now baby
And don't look in my face, don't
I'm coming home to this place, cause I'm stranded on the wire in these
Streets of fire, streets of fire, streets of fire
Streets of fire, streets of fire, streets of fire

This outtake version was recorded in Aug 1977 in Atlantic Studios, New York City, NY. Almost identical to the album's version, except for a different guitar solo halfway through. Otherwise, apart from a few minor lyrical changes, there is little to separate this and the official release.
