HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED©
Live 09 Jul 1995 version
One two three four
Well God said to Abraham kill me a son
Abe said "man must put me on"
God said "no" Abe said "what?"
God said "you can do what you want Abe but
Next time you see me coming you better run
Abe said where you want killing done
Out on Highway 61
Well Georgia Sam he had a bloody nose
Welfare Department wouldn't give him no clothes
He asked poor Howard, where can I go
Howard said there's only one place I know
Sam said tell me quick man, you better run
Old Howard pointed with his gun
Sayin' out on Highway 61
Well Mack the Finger said to Louie the King
I got forty red white and blue shoe strings
Thousand telephones that don't ring
Tell me what I can do, I get rid of these things
And Louie the King said uuuuh let me think for a minute son
Ah yes I think it can be easily done
It's just that way down on Highway 61
God said to Abraham kill me a son
Abe said "man you must be puttin' me on"
God said "no" Abe said "what?"
God said "you can do what you want Abe but
The next time you see me coming you better run
Abe said where you want killing done
Out on Highway 61
