GET UP STAND UP

Live 15 Oct 1988 version

All:Get up, stand up, stand up for your rights
Get up, stand up, don't give up the fight
Get up, stand up, stand up for your right
Get up, stand up, don't give up the fight

Sting:Preacher man don't tell me heaven is under the earth
I know you don't know what life is really worth
Peter Gabriel:Not all that glitters is gold, half the story has never been told
Gabriel and Springsteen:Now you see the light, stand up for your right

All:Get up, stand up, stand up for your right
Get up, stand up, don't give up the fight
Get up, stand up, stand up for your right
Get up, stand up, don't give up the fight

Tracy Chapman:Most people say a great god will come from the sky
Take away everything and make everybody feel high
But if you knew what life is worth, you will look to yours on earth
Chapman and Springsteen:And now you've seen the light, stand up for your rights

All:Get up, stand up
Sting:Get up, stand up

Because we know when we understand that a mighty god is a living man
