A Bruce Springsteen Band track written in mid to late 1971 and played live during late 1971 and early 1972. Sometimes mistakenly listed under the title YOU SURE CAN DANCE, however BLESS MY SOUL and YOU SURE CAN DANCE are completely different songs.

One know live performance, on 26 or 27 Feb 1972 at the Back Door Club, Richmond, VA. This performance is available on the Exit Through The Backdoor bootleg, and it is believed that another performance of the song circulates on some custom sources.
