Second Harvest Food Bank serves the hungry in 46 Middle and Western Tennessee counties. Last year alone they distributed more than 40 million pounds to struggling citizens here in Tennessee. If you pick up the newspapers, you'll see that the demand of the food banks has gone up, up, up as the economy's gotten worse and worse, and people have lost their jobs and the unemployment rate has gone higher and higher. Grassroots organizations like the Second Harvest Food Bank Of Middle Tennessee are very often all that stands in-between kids going to bed at night hungry or with something in their stomachs. Please if you get a chance and you can see them on the way out, support your local food bank, the Second Harvest Food Bank Of Middle Tennessee. Alright, we'll try something here just for Nashville. The above lyrics are for the live 18 Nov 2009 performance of RING OF FIRE at Sommet Center in Nashville, TN, during the Working On A Dream Tour. The song was played in its original Johnny Cash arrangement, and featured Curt Ramm on trumpet. It was performed honoring a sign request, following a public service announcement (see the spoken intro above). Springsteen told the crowd that it was something they've never played before, but he did play it back in 1973 and 1974.
