LONDON CALLING

Live 28 Jun 2009 version

Bruce Springsteen:London calling to the faraway towns
The war is declared, the battles come down
London calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard, you boys and girls
London calling, now don't look at us
And the Phoney Beatlemania has bitten the dust
London calling, see we ain't got no swing
'Cept for the ring of that truncheon thing

Bruce Springsteen:The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
The engines stop running, the wheat's growing thin
A nuclear error, but I have no fear
London is drowning and I
Springsteen and crowd:I live by the river

Steven Van Zandt:London calling to the imitation zone
Forget it, brother, you can go at it alone
Springsteen and Van Zandt:London calling
Steven Van Zandt:To the zombies of death
Quit holding out and draw another breath
Springsteen and Van Zandt:London calling
Steven Van Zandt:And I don't wanna shout
But while we were talking I saw you running out
Springsteen and Van Zandt:London calling
Steven Van Zandt:We ain't got no high
Except for that one with the yellowy eyes

Springsteen and Van Zandt:The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
The engines stop running, the wheat's growing thin
A nuclear error, I have no fear
London is drowning and I
Springsteen, Van Zandt, and crowd:I live by the river

Bruce Springsteen:Whoa! Whoa! Whao!

Bruce Springsteen:[Guitar solo]

Springsteen and Van Zandt:The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
The engines stop running, the wheat's growing thin
A nuclear error, but I have no fear
London is drowning and I
Springsteen, Van Zandt, and crowd:I live by the river

Bruce Springsteen:London calling, I was there, too
An' you know what they said? Well, some of it was true!
Springsteen and Van Zandt:London calling
Bruce Springsteen:At the top of the dial
And after all this, won't you give me a smile?
Springsteen and Van Zandt:London calling
London calling
London calling
London calling

Bruce Springsteen:I never felt so much alive, alive, alive

London Calling: Live In Hyde Park

Hard Rock Calling is a music festival held at Hyde Park in London, England, around early summer each year since 2006, and spans the period of two or three days. The festival is organized by Hard Rock Cafe and Live Nation.

During their Working On A Dream Tour, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band performed on the last day (28 Jun 2009) of the festival and their performance, was captured with High Definition (HD) cameras and was released in its complete form on DVD the following year. The film was officially released on 22 Jun 2010, though it premiered on the big screen in a 90-minute edited version on 05 Jun 2010 at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Museum in Cleveland, OH. The 90-minute cut was also screened in June 2010 various theaters across the United States, with benefits going either to the venue itself in the case of non-profit theater, of The Danny Federici Melanoma Fund.
