The music is the same (no remastering here), but for those collectors who care about packaging, the presentation is wunderbar: the CD itself is made to look like a vinyl LP, in black (on both sides) with grooves and a red Columbia label on top. Jewelcase with standard lyric booklet fits into special slipcase for this "Spiegel edition," issued in conjunction with Sony Germany in 2004. Notes from Lost In The Flood: Released as part of a special series called "The Vinyl Classics"; put together in collaboration with German weekly magazine "Der Spiegel" and also featuring landmark albums by numerous other major Sony artists such as Miles Davis, Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson and Billy Joel. Silver die-cut cardboard slipcase depicts a small inset of the "Nebraska" cover photo as well as a red "Spiegel Edition" logo and includes the revised 2003 "enhanced packaging" booklet; the disc itself is designed to look like a black vinyl record with red Columbia "label".
