When The Saints Go Marching In Buffalo Gals (with Wolfgang Niedecken - sorry, not my fault) Notes: Wanted to post this to ABMS but found that upload to my newsserver was around 0.1-0.8 kB/second and I wanted to have this out in this millennium still so it's here on Dime first now. This tape is a promise broken. I swore myself to stop recording Springsteen after the Reunion tour, partly because some of my tapes ended up being used for bootlegs, and partly because I just wanted to get up front to the stage and have lots of fun. I managed to leave my taping gear home the last two tours. And even on this tour, I had no serious intention to tape this show after I was having such a great time in London where I made it all the way to the front. My first priority for Frankfurt was to get as far to the front as possible and have a good time. However, I had to work half that day and then drive 3 hours to Frankfurt so I obviously couldn't end up in one of the first rows. I still ended up pretty close to stage. I was satisfied with my place, but I didn't think it was a good taping location, but I said hell, now I've got this stuff here so I just did hit the record button. As for the sound quality: It ain't my best, but it isn't my worst either. I must admit I have not yet heard any boots from the current tour, so I really can't compare. I'd assume it's about average for this tour, but I don't know. There is some slightly distracting crowd noise and some close loud claps. Maybe you'd like to wait for a different source if you're sensitive to these kind of things. General notes: Please don't spread as MP3, AAC or other lossy formats. Please don't use my tapes in matrix remixes. Don't sell my tapes (note the intentional absence of the word "please"). I already stopped taping once because my stuff was used on Crystal Cat and Dobermann bootlegs and I have no problems to stop again if people don't learn. In short: If you like it and want more from me, then don't sell. If you don't like it, then don't charge other people for crap. Thank you for your attention. I hope you enjoy the tape.
