So the story goes, Tape Man Joe attended many concerts. Joe used a Sony D6 with a Nakamichi Mic and TDK metal tapes. Joe made a few copies and gave them to friends but never actively traded his recordings. Recently Joe lent a few of his masters to his friend, Jungleland user G (a generous collector himself who has lent tapes from his collection to help upgrade many shows). G asked me to finish off the transfers and post them. While most of the set list was pretty standard for this tour, there were a couple of interesting songs that didn't stay in rotation for the reminder of the tour. “Dancing In The Dark” is a rare electric guitar track featuring Bruce by himself. It would be seen occasionally for about another month. “With Every Wish” gets its last ever performance with includes a rather strange introduction about reading fairly tales to his children. Just like during the previous tour (The Tunnel Of Love Express), Bruce does a pretty good job of avoiding the nostalgia during the first and second sets. The encore of course was a whole other matter. Joe's recording now gives us four separate masters this show. Master's from Atlasstar, Two Of Us and Hobbes4444 all have previously circulated. I wouldn't put any of the recordings in the superb category. Probably due to as one of the tapers of this show once said, “this tour sounded like ass”-Hobbes4444. I would give the nod to Joe's master since he was using the best microphone of the four, a Nakamichi CM-100. Thanks to Tape Man Joe for recording and sharing his tapes and G for transferring the files. 01.BETTER DAYS 02.LOCAL HERO 03.LUCKY TOWN 04.DANCING IN THE DARK 05.DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN 06.IF I SHOULD FALL BEHIND 07.57 CHANNELS (AND NOTHIN' ON) 08.THE RIVER 09.LIVING PROOF 10.MY HOMETOWN 11.LEAP OF FAITH 12.MAN'S JOB 13.ROLL OF THE DICE 14.PROVE IT ALL NIGHT 15.COVER ME 16.BRILLIANT DISGUISE (with Patti Scialfa) 17.WITH EVERY WISH 18.SOULS OF THE DEPARTED 19.BORN IN THE U.S.A. 20.REAL WORLD 21.LIGHT OF DAY 22.GLORY DAYS 23.WORKING ON THE HIGHWAY 24.BOBBY JEAN 25.HUNGRY HEART 26.THUNDER ROAD 27.BORN TO RUN 28.MY BEAUTIFUL REWARD Known faults: Tape Flip during Light of Day.
