Warm-up for the upcoming Born in the USA tour.

Bruce and the ESB took over for the Cats on a
very hot early summer night in Asbury Park.

First show ever with Nils Lofgren as a member
of the E Street Band.

Patti still wasn't a member of the E Street
Band at this point, though.  She wouldn't join
until nearly three weeks later.

Quality is surprisingly good for a bar gig.

Very appropriate that Bruce would basically
end the early 80s bar tour at the Stone Pony,
the place of dozens of surprise appearances
throughout 1982 and 1983, as well as start
the tour that would turn him into a household
name.
