Notes from Brucebase: 

Audience tape - concert features both For You and Sandy. 

A contributer writes "It was shortly after the Who concert in Cinncinati where the people were killed. To try to prevent any problems, people were allowed in VERY early. In fact the band was just finishing the soundcheck. They were doing Prove It All Night. After running through it twice Bruce kinda looked around surprised that people were being let in. He said "Hey haven't you guys ever heard of being fashionably late? Well, what do you want to hear?" Somebody yelled out very loudly "Lost In The Flood!" Bruce said "No, we can't do that one" Somebody else yelled out "The Ties That Bind!" Bruce says "No, we'll do that one later. I got one for ya" And they played Good Rockin' Tonight. There were maybe a couple hundred people in the place when he started, but I was told he almost caused a stampede of people thinking the show was starting and trying to get in. Anyway it was pretty cool to hear a bonus song! I know it was one of my highlights of all the Bruce shows I've seen". Thanks to Steve for that, and another reader writes 

"It was a fun show. When the show was over around midnight we came out to find out that it had snowed a few inches during the show and in true upstate New York style was not going to stop for a few hours. It took my friends and me about eight hours to get back to school." - Thanks to John for the info. 

Tech Notes:

This is a new version taken from a tape. The other version which has been in circulation awhile seems to be from a lossy source. This version is lossless. However there are several glitches making this a "For Completists" version only.

Glitches:

> Some tape turns without effecting music.
> Prove it is cut at the end as is the beginning of Promised Land, they have been faded in and out.
> Sherry darling is cut at the end. (Faded out)
> I'm a rocker is cut at the end. (Faded out)

RIVER FLOOD is a project by a group of the regular ABMS posters at SPL that started in May 2005 to post all the River Tour shows in order to ABMS. This has turned out to be a much more involved project than first imagined and some of these have required extensive research to find a copy that exists, is lossless, complete as much as possible and has the best sound. Recently we decided to also start seeding this project to Jungleland, so we're going to commence with the shows that have already been posted (Sep 80 - Jan 81) and then as each new River Tour show is posted up to ABMS also seed it here.

The River Flood project comprises ivannf, bobsmo, Simba, jeffreybrucefan, rainone, km, richr, wastedintheheat, FrankiesJoint, reidneile (if I've missed anyone apologies!)

*****Please note that a lot of the boots being made available as part of this project, whilst best available for each date are essentially designed for completists. Quality of a lot of the shows in this era are not of great quality.******
