This transfer is taken from a presumed 2nd generation tape. Though Dan did not have the generation notated he does recall who this tape came from and felt it was most likely 2nd generation based on the timeframe and the traders reputation. This was a very challenging transfer from a number of aspects. It was clearly taped on a fairly low end deck having the tell-tale signs of increased volume after a cut. There are numerous cuts throughout, mic bumps and the volume was all over the place as is the sound spectrum. I had to give much more attention to certain areas, some sections are quite good. I have corrected the volume fluctuations, made the cuts as seamless as possible as well as taking out or minimizing all mic bumps. According to Brucebase, the sellout of 1800 concert goers were treated to a genuine theatre-in-the-round setup. A strong Born To Run show featuring the return of "Backstreets" not played since the August Bottom Line stand, an extra long "E Street Shuffle" and a solid "Pretty Flamingo" soundchecked but not played the night before. Thanks to IvannF, earlmv and oats1jvo for getting the ball rolling with Dan, to Prof Goody for the pitch check and to E from JEMS for the use of the NAK DR-1. Big thanks to Dan for keeping his archives afloat for all those years and his generosity in sharing with us all. mjk5510
