I first became aware of this show in the early 80's when I purchased the 2LP set "Atlanta, Georgia 1975". It was a great introduction to the existence of the show but the sound fluctuates throughout the set. The LP set did not contain an exact date and contained these songs (some cut) out of order as listed on the bootleg:Side 1: Spaceship Story / Kitty's BackSide 2: Rosalita / Sandy / Twist And ShoutSide 3: Contract Story / E St ShuffleSide 4: She's The One / Born To Run / Then She Kissed Me / For YouThis show appeared here on dime about 2 years ago taken from the CD release titled "It's Going To Work Out Fine" and contained these songs:E Street ShuffleAnd Then She Kissed MeFor YouSpirit In The NightDoes This Bus Stop On 82nd Street? It's Gonna Work Out FineWhen You Walk In The RoomGrowin' UpIt's Hard To Be A Saint In The CityRosalitaTwist & ShoutNeither of these releases contained all the available songs and though I have not heard the CD release, according to Brucebase, it is from the same show as the LP release but with a few extra tracks. Over the years I've acquired multiple copies of this show and though some have been labeled August 21 and some labeled August 23 they are inevitably the same show. Brucebase lists the more complete version as August 23rd.This upload contains all the available songs, to my knowledge, from this run of shows. It is transferred from a 4th generation tape I received in the mid to late 80's labeled August 21st. I don't think it has ever been established which night was actually recorded or if it is a compilation of nights. I've had to do quite a bit of work on the tapes, where the LP version and all the other versions I've traded for where heavy in the midrange, sonding quite a bit of noise reduction had been used flattening out the show. The tape I transferred this from was very bass heavy and contained a substantial amount of hiss but retained a nice sonic richness of highs and lows.I did pull the bass down in the mix a bit as it was to the point of overbearing in places. Overall this has a fairly rich and full sound, after extensively working with the eq to take out some of the hiss I decided to leave as is, I felt too much of the richness was lost pulling down any of the hiss. It's not present through the entire show and when the band is rocking the hiss is not an issue at all in my opinion. I cleaned up the abrupt edits and smoothed out a major volume decrease during Twist & Shout to match the rest of the show. This show itself is a great, high energy but relaxed performance following immediately after the legendary Bottom Line shows.I won't say this is substantially better than other circulating versions because I may not be aware of all that is out there and there are still a few rough spots in this version but it does appear to be more complete than the last version that appeared on Dime. I hope it is an upgrade over what some folks have...Samples below...Enjoy!Mjk5510
