Description: "The Rising" tour return to Barcelona also saw Patti's return to the band for her first show of 2003 European leg. A relatively standard set list did feature the tour premier of "Sherry Darling" in response to a request from the crowd. Other highlights included "Because the Night" and "Detroit Medley".
This remarkable video of the show was shot from the stadium field, directly in front of the right-hand big screen. It is reasonably steady, given the conditions under which it was filmed. Understandably, it does get a little more shaky towards the end of the show as the filmer tires from holding the camera. The most striking thing about the footage is the quality of the image, it is as sharp and clear as you are ever likely to get from an amateur screen shot. The obstructions are inevitable, but they add to the overall a "being there" feel. The audio is very good for a camcorder source and there is none of the usual sync problems because of the proximity of the camera to the stage.
The DVD has been authored using the master tape by "brucevideos", resulting in a very enjoyable production.
