Notes from BruceDVDs:

The importance of Florida in the forthcoming Election was not lost on the artists in what was originally scheduled as the final show on the Vote For Change Tour. Bruce declared that he was "glad to be in the Sunshine State... or as I call it, the Scene of the Crime". Thus, the inspiration is drawn for the title of this alternative view of the Orlando VFC show from Rabid Dog/ScrewDevil Productions.

Disc 1 opens with a shot of the stage from the back of the arena. The camerawork is very uncertain, but a different video source kicks in during the second song. This view quickly settles on the giant screen. Once locked on, the screen is held very steady and fills the frame entirely. This view is used for the vast majority of Bruce's set, with only a brief cut to the stage during John Fogerty's spot.

This image quality is clean and sharp, although it is a little overexposed and colour shifted towards red. The dubbed audio is also very good, representing a noticeable improvement over the cam audio used on 'Always Bring a Spare'.

Disc 2 contains the entire sets from both Tracey Chapman and REM, the highlight being Bruce's guest appearance on the latter's final two songs. Again, both sets are shot primarily from the screen (with the exception of 'Man on the Moon'). The audio on the second disc has not been dubbed and is consequently a little distant.

'Scene of the Crime' is an excellent example of how to produce a screen shot DVD. The steady full frame image and great dubbed audio make it enjoyable viewing. Don't try to choose between this and 'Always Bring a Spare', just go ahead and get them both.
